MEET TAMARA

I am a mother first, and a photographer second!  I believe that's what makes a difference in the attitude and environment of your photo shoot.  As a Mother, I understand the limitations and attention span of a child, and what it takes to not only keep them interested, but for them to want to smile and be part of the action.  Being a mother myself, I understand how important it is for mothers to feel beautiful and comfortable in their family pictures. I truly feel, that comfort will show through in the captured moments. 

My goal is to provide affordable, professional, photography.  Often professional quality is reserved for those who have money to spend.  All families deserve those same memories, and when you receive the digital negatives that are included with your sitting, you have the right to print as many copies and various sizes that you wish.  I will not hold those memories for ransom. I can and will do any forms of photography you need, but my absolute favourite photo shoots are maternity, babies, and children of any age.......including the child inside us all.  I don't want your photos to be 'stuffy, canned, portraits', I want your pictures to portray your family in a fun relaxed environment that will be the memory that you want to cherish forever.  I have always had a passion for photography, and often would dream of the day that I could open my own studio.   

Passion and natural talent is a necessity for photography, however I firmly believe that a photographer must have a strong technical side as well.  A photographer should always be furthering their knowledge, especially in today's age of technology.  Experience is the best teacher, but I have been fortunate enough to realize that by attending the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology I was given the opportunity to learn years of extensive experience from my instructors, in only a couple years time.  Their shared knowledge has contributed to my ability to capture that perfect moment.

I am not a photographer that can be categorized in a certain style of photography.  I task you to bring me new ideas to compliment my own, and together we can capture photographs that are not only great but unique as well.
