WELCOME TO OUR PHOTO CONTEST!

For the last 4 years I have been running this contest to help fill the shelves at our local food bank and provide an affordable professional photo shoot to all the families in High River and surrounding area. Last year the great people of High River donated 13 large Rubbermaid bins of food. It was truly amazing!. The contest runs all of April, the entry fee is food for the food bank and $25 for the first child and each sibling is $20 each. This gets them entered into the contest, a full 30 minutes in my studio with professional lights, props and backdrops galore. After they have chosen their favorite image I will edit the photo, print 12 wallet photos of this image and burn the image onto a cd in full resolution. We have lots of giggles during the shoot and its always fun to play with all my props and backdrops with the kids. At the end of the month I will divide the newborns to 2 year olds and 2 and up photos into two separate categories and I will have 5 judges in the community rank their favorites from ten points for number one to 1 point for their tenth favorite. I will then take everyone's top ten and tally up the points to have a fair, un bias, non popularity contest. The 5 judges have no idea what the others have chosen for their favorites. All the prizes are local businesses donating product or coupons. I also put in digital frames into a few select stores so that the public can go into their locations and see all the contestants.
